For twenty years, the UI Center for Human Rights has stood for a commitment to human rights, whether within the US or abroad. Due to recent events, we are sure that many, if not all of you, are in pain on multiple levels –physically, mentally, spiritually -- for families, friends, colleagues, communities, country, and planet. In light of recent protests against racist policing practices in our city, state, and nation, the UICHR remains committed to helping the university and broader communities examine and develop concrete solutions to our myriad intersectional problems. For example, we instituted a series of online panels on COVID and Human Rights this spring. We will commence a series of webinars on Human Rights and Racial Equity as well starting Friday June 5. Details are available on our website. Join us for the upcoming events!

Yours in the struggle for justice,
