The UI Center for Human Rights is proud to facilitate a college-in-prison pilot program at the Iowa Medical & Classification Center (Oakdale) this fall. Educators from across the UI campus are volunteering to teach a short-course in their discipline to a select group of students incarcerated at Oakdale. Accompanying this project, the UICHR invites you to attend a two-day conference and community forum focusing on creating access to education and employment opportunities for Iowa's incarcerated. Please visit our dedicated web page for more information and to register to attend this free event. Click here.
