Aaron Marr Page is an international human rights and U.S. civil rights/criminal justice attorney. On the international front, he manages Forum Nobis PLLC, an international human rights and environmental public interest law practice that works directly indigenous peoples and with leading non-governmental organizations around the world to defend and promote Indigenous rights and the human rights of other affected communities. Forum Nobis also specializes in defending “human rights defenders” around the world who increasingly face strategic bad-faith lawsuits by companies and governments as a tactic to chill their free speech and undermine their critical advocacy. On the domestic front, Aaron manages Clark Grove PLLC, an Iowa law practice specializing in civil rights cases on behalf of victims of discrimination and abuse as well as criminal defense work for protestors, whistleblowers, and social justice activists.

Before setting out on his own, Aaron working on public international law matters (involving sovereign states) with the global law firm Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton LLP. He graduated from the University of Michigan Law School, where he won the school’s top moot court competition, organized an historic international conference on Indigenous peoples’ rights, and spent a semester working at the South African Human Rights Commission.

Aaron teaches the foundational international human rights course at the University of Iowa College of Law, as well as seminars on the “Business & Human Rights” field and other topics through the UICHR. He has previously taught at the Vermont Law School, the University of Maryland Carey School of Law, the Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador, and The American University in Cairo.
