Mazahir Salih is the Mayor Pro Tem and City Councilor at large for Iowa City. She is a co-founder and former executive director of the Center for Worker Justice, as well as a co-founder and interim executive director of an immigrant welcome network in Johnson County. In addition to her civic roles, Mazahir serves as an on-call EEG technician at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She holds degrees in civil engineering and early childhood development.
