Alyssa Clayden, LISW, is a PhD student in Social Work with a concentration in public health. Alyssa has worked as a community mental health therapist across five continents and does research on the ways mental health systems contribute to and enact white supremacy when working with refugee and immigrant communities. She currently serves on the leadership core of Showing Up for Racial Justice - Des Moines Chapter and is on the advisory council for Social Work Coalition for Anti-Racist Educators (SWCAREs).
