Lisa Schlesinger is an associate professor of theatre arts at the University of Iowa.  She is a playwright and educator who has been published in American Theatre Magazine, Performing Arts Journal, Theater Magazine, Best Monologues for Women by Women II, Out of Silence, The American Theatre Reader, the best writing of 25 years of American Theatre Magazine, the New York Times, and her plays are forthcoming with NoPassport Press.  She is a member of Theatre Without Borders, NoPassport, TCG, and the Dramatists Guild. She holds her B.A. degree from Hampshire College and her M.F.A. from the University of Iowa.
