Joan Nashelsky

Biography

Joan Nashelsky retired from the UICHR in December 2016. While with the UICHR, she was a program coordinator and managed the One Community, One Book program.

Joan has a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Maryland. She has worked for medical associations, academic medical centers, and hospital libraries. She continues to work from home on a part-time basis for the Family Physicians’ Inquiries Network (FPIN) of Columbia, MO, which was founded by Joan’s former colleagues in the Department of Family & Community Medicine at the University of Missouri-Columbia.  This organization publishes a series of articles in the Journal of Family Practice and American Family Physician.
